Matina Kokolis Psyhogeos was born in Krokees Laconia, Greece. Upon her graduation from Teacher’s College, she got married, moved to the US where, she continued graduate studies in education and linguistics and raised her family. She taught in many Greater Boston schools and spent most of her teaching career at Hellenic College/Holy Cross, Brookline, MA.
She developed her own comprehensive program (The Psyhogeos Program) for the teaching of foreign languages, especially the Greek language. She has written 13 books all together, eight of which are based on her program. The last few years she moved, temporarily, back to Greece, where she continued to write and published new books. At present she’s back in the US and resides in the outskirts of Boston.
